FOF Cap problem
Notice the total cap for the upcoming season. There must have been a major decline in TV viewship with the cap dropping to this! In all seriousness though, has anyone else ever had an error like this?

My first thought is that this might be classified as the game "behaving unpredictably."
Are you a fairly new player of FOF? Is there any chance that you made an error when entering your registration information? (If so, it causes a variety of weird results in the game) If not, and you're sure that this is not the root cause... then I'm stumped. How'd you get a cap (this year) so low? Did you tinker with the game settings to do this? |

Ive been playing since I guess the 98 or 99 NFL season, which ever FOF version that was. I believe the first one I bought was the one right before the EA era. Anyways I have been playing for a long time. I didn't touch anything with the cap. The game has been on my new notebook for over a month without incident, so I don't believe there is a registration problem. I assume its just an error, but wanted to know if anyone else has seen this.

I think that QS meant how long have you had this particular version of the game on this computer. As you may or may not know, one of the ways that Solecismic prevents piracy is to cause the game to "behave unpredictably" if someone enters their registration code incorrectly. That would be the most likely cause of this problem. If, however, you have been playing for a month without incident, then I don't know. Also--did you buy this via disk or download? I beleive (though I could be wrong) that "behaving unpredictably" only occurs to games on CD with registration codes. |

I think you're going to lose a few draft picks over this one.
![]() Are all the teams the same on this? Also, this may not be a registration problem, since doesn't that only happen in the first few years as opposed to 10-14 years down the road? |

I'm going to need a few more 2.5+ MB screenshots before sharing my opinion.

Please, please download and use Irfanview. It's a simple image-manipulation program that can, for instance, easily allow you to convert huge .bmps to small (but still good quality) .jpgs. It's also freeware. Everyone should have it.

Or, uh, just use Paint and save as a jpeg.

I think this is somehow Daniel Snyder related.

If you have a save game from the end of last season, you might try restoring from that point to see if this happens again. If you restore from last season and it doesn't happen again, then something most likely got corrupted. If it does happen again, since it is reproducable, supportATsolecismic.com might like to hear from you so they can see if they can identify the issue.
(TIP: Don't attach files with your initial email to Solecismic support, as I believe unsolicited attachments end up in the spam folder and are ignored.)
