NBA Conspiracy Theory

This was posted at rotoworld.com

After last night's loss, coach Sam Mitchell revealed his conspiracy theory that outside forces are influencing his players.

Mitchell said after the game that people outside the organization were "trying to coach" his players, a byproduct of the team's recent turnaround. "What I'm saying is that as you have success, you have people that it's not their job to coach the players, and they're trying to give them too much information," said Mitchell, who declined to give details, other than to say that he was deliberately using the Media as a platform to counter them. Asked if the people know who they are, he said: "They probably will after this." Sigh... and just as we had been lauding the improved play in Toronto of late. Mitchell's players collectively scratched their heads over their coach's latest theory. In real news, Chris Bosh's franchise record of nine straight double-doubles came to an end. He finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.

I guess I am naive, or just tired, but what the heck is he talking about?

If he's talking about other people "coaching" his players by telling them what to do, he should try coaching high school. I coach baseball and I actually caught a catcher one time getting signs from his dad on what pitches to call. Needless to say.......he wasn't on the team much longer.

Wow....Another Toronto coach losing his mind.Reminds me of Coach Carter a few years back when he threatened to sue Camby before a play-off game against the Knicks.

Now that I've cracked and made that admission, I wonder if I'm only a couple of steps away from wanting to tongue-kiss Jaromir Jagr and give Bobby Clarke a blowjob.

Don't they have a movie out about him now? With a cameo by Cris?
