A Thought on Recruiting in Text Sims

I have been playing the hell out of FBCB in the past two months. I coached WVU for about 30 years and two NCAA titles and got their prestige up into the high 90s. After the refused to improve my facilities OR raise my payroll, I quit and took a season off, before resurfacing at the University of Vermont, with the ultimate goal of bringing them from the American East Conference (prestige 2) to, eventually, the Big East (prestige 5). So far I have made my way up one conference to, to the Colonial Athletic Assoc. (prestige 3), have made 8 sweet 16s, 3 final fours, and won a fluke NCAA title (came in as a #4 seed and never played anyone else that was higher than a #4).

Anyway, playing as a smaller school gave me an idea for recruiting. It would be cool if a recruiting "map" could be created that had "areas of influence" for recruiting scattered throughout the map. So, when coaching a small school like the University of Vermont, you might start out with a high ratings around Burlington, VT (home of the UVM) or all of Vermont. If we develop a rivalry with another school and play them every year, we would develop some influence in that area, as well (provided we occasionally win). If we go to the Alaskan Invitational and win it a few times, we would develop a following there. For bigger schools, like Notre Dame, they would have many spheres of influence, like in the Southern Cal and Boston areas. The areas would affect recruiting, television, and merchandising.

Anyway, just thought of this and thought I would share.
