FOF: Now, THAT'S a running attack!
I've never seen anything like what happened in my most recent FOF2K1 year:
1st Team ALL-Pro goes to: My HB My FB My TE My C My LG My RG My LT All of them! Only my RT failed to make 1st team all-pro. BTW, my HB won OPOY and MVP as well. His stats: 325 rushes, 1794 yards, 5.5 per, 17 TDs. The rushing attack as a whole ran 577 (1st) for 2836 (1st) for a 4.9 ave (2nd). We just ran the crap out of our opponents, finished 14-2 regular season, torched our playoff opponents ala '85 Bears, and took home the Lombardi. Every single player involved in the rushing game but one? BTW, our rushing attack only had a 77 cohesion rating, my HB is in his 9th season (definitely on the ratings decline), and our rushing percentages were set by the coach (I'm doing a hands-off GM-only career). I didn't do anything to pad the stats; I just sat back and watched it happen.

that is amazing
i am amaze the coach knows your strength and made you run more in the gameplan. i guess letting coach do your own gameplan works well too instead of doing it yourself. |

I think, and I don't know that rev did this, but if you sim a few seasons and look at what your coaches tendencies are, and then build around that, it can work well. |

Sure. And some are just plain better at it than others. And some, no matter how good they are, if they don't fit your team right, will not be succesfull. |

excellent !!
Never seen such a thing in all of my years playing FOF. Fantastic year ! I bet with such an OL, you are going to very much contend and actually win SuperBowls for the next years or so.

What's your coach's offensive playcall ability?
And you need to get workin' on that right tackle. ![]() |

The selection of all-pro players on the OL, especially back in FOF 2001, is/was pretty heavily slanted toward the gross number of key run blocks. Therefore, it's not all that unusual to see a heavy running team garner multiple awards -- the linemen are just getting more opportunities to get KRBs. (I personally think it's unfortunate that KRB% and Sacks Allowed % are not more heavily weighted)
Great season, congrats on the awards -- but I think this is some perspectove on it. I'm not sure I have gotten four award-winners in the same year, but I know on my run-first teams I frequently got two or three -- sometimes guys whose only strong qualification was the raw number of KRBs. |

I didn't do that, but looking back, this coach has been more successful running the ball than any I've ever had before. His O-play calling is Very Good, as is his O-line coaching.
