Surprised no one has complained about the 'trout option' in the poll, or lack of one I mean.
I started leaning towards rooting for Philly this week, then that average at best WR of theirs opened his mouth so I must root for the Patsies.

Our preseason poll had the Eagles over the Patriots. Where were all these Patriots votes back then? That was back when the Patriots still had a secondary.

Please stop it with the secondary talk. If Eagle fans are hanging their hats on that it's going to be a long day.

I just quicksimmed 100 seasons with FOF with 100 complete new games and no X-factor. Recognizing the rosters aren't exactly the same and injuries are different, I was interested by the results:
NE vs. Philly 31 times, far and away the most frequent combo NE wins 21 times NE average winning score 30 Philly average losing score 25 Philly average winning score 35 NE average losing score 10 So, by scientific means, I say if it's close, NE wins. If it's a blowout Philly. Of course Detroit and Arizona each made the championship once so who knows. Edited 02/03/05: NE 23 Phil 20. Last second field goal. ![]() I have no prediction. I have a hope, but no prediction. (Much like in the FOFC preseason predictions where I stay away from predicting any and all Eagles games) The Patriots are the team that scares me the most. |

I've said it all week and I'll say it again, Eagles light up that secondary en route to a 42-24 win.

I told my father yesterday 16-10 Patriots, so I'll stick to that. I think it'll be a fairly low-scoring game as the Eagles' D isn't being given the credit it deserves.

I had a dream the other night that the Eagles won. I don't remember if an exact score was shown in my dream, but I think the Eagles had 30+ However, don't get your hopes up that it was a psycic vision Eagles fans. Two play that I remember from the game in my dream featured a play in which the ball was fumbled three times, each time picked up by an Eagle. The other was one in which the Eagles were kicking off, got a 10 yard penalty, rekicked, but this time did a surprise onside kick and recovered it. I don't think either will happen. ![]() |

Tecmo Super Bowl Ultra Prediction
Patriots 23 Eagles 21 The difference being Donovan McNabb being sacked for a safety to give the Patriots a 2-0 lead in the first quarter after failing to score from the 3 yard line. |
