In Season's 1-3 was high up in the chain of command at CTU. Last season made some questionable decisions and was relieved of his duties.

Some other thoughts... So far, the majority of the sub-plots suck. As always, anything with Jack is cool. I like the Behrooz subplot, but the rest suck. The girl's boyfriend is a turd, Driscol's daughter is lame, the Sec. of Defense's son is lame, the infiltrator is very lame. Oh well... I guess the all beat pretty much anything having to do with Kim.

As lame as they are, they need some filler to take up 24 hours. The structure of the show dictates that some crap is going to have to be thrown in. There have been weak sub-plot all four seasons. But the second they get back to Jack, it's all worth it. |

Then there are sub-plots that make me angry like Jack's girlfiriend's husband. For fuck's sake, man. Enough already. Yeah, it sucks to see your estranged wife with another dude, but LET IT REST for a while. Nuclear holocaust?? HELLO!?!? Enough with your pathetic whinings and let CTU's field agent actually do his job.

Good point, how in the hell is he even in the CTU building in the time of a national crisis anyway? Do they just let anyone in the building? I'm surprised they don't have panhandlers in there.

I think he's going to play into it somehow. Maybe trying to get between Jack and his GF and inadvertantly screw things up. I agree with gott, though. Why in the heck is he allowed free roam of CTU? |

I can't really buy into this whole nuclear holocaust thing as they have depicted it. It seems to me that a simple call to all 104 nuclear plants instructing to disconnect themselves from the internet would save the day. I haven't seen last night's episode yet, so they might have artificially gotten around that little bit of stupidity, but if the thing would have to break through a firewall to gain control, then the method of control would seem to be via the internet. It is just about the stupidest thing I have seen since they plugged a Macintosh into an ancient egyptian relic in Stargate.

I believe they answered why they couldn't just disconnect from the internet (don't remember what they said though). I found it funny how casually they said they "saved" something like 87 of the plants from being subject to this, leaving only 17 at risk. It's like they said, "By the way, we found a way to eliminate 90% of the potential catastrophe, but it's not a big deal." Also, if originally 7.5 million people were at risk from 104 plants, wouldn't it not be such a bad situation if only 6 were still in danger? |

You are joking right? Do you think 9-11 was "not such a bad situation"? I mean even with "only" 6 Plants in jeapordy, more than 10,000 peple (prolly more like 100,000) could be killed! Sorry but even though 9-11 was real and 24 isn't, that was still a silly thing to say.

I also noticed their nuclear power plant locations are way off on the map.. there isn't one that i know of anywhere within 100 miles of kansas city.. but i'm sure thats just a precaution
I don't like sherry jr one bit.. but i think thats what makes 24 good.. you really want to see the traitors killed ![]() I spent 3 seasons rooting for sherry to die.. was a joyous moment when she did ![]() |

Just watched the last two episodes on my TIVO with my dad. I predicted that he would call Tony and when he showed up at the end we both yelled out a collective "OOOOHHH!!!" That was awesome.

Just saw last night's episode, and I'm still in, eventhough the nuclear Holocaust thing is annoyingly stupid. Luckilly it looks like they will solve it within the next three hours/episodes, two if we are really lucky. Maybe Edgar will pull something out of his arse.
I liked the way they brought Almeda back, in that it was exciting, but it is a bit annoying that he can drop three terrorists in three seconds when two seasons ago he was a computer geek setting up ports, channels, and bandwidth with the rest of the techies. Hell Jack should have called Chloe too, so she coulda opened up a can of whoopass. So Almeda's return was exciting but annoying. I'm thinking it's because his character was a traitorous bastard the last season. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that is what it is. |

Amen to that. Although I might have bought into Michelle Dessler dropping the bad guys, especially if Jack's call had gotten her out of the shower and she didn't really have time to get dressed before she had to go save him. ![]()

And frankly that was a lot more convincing portrayal of how a desk jockey would perform in the field. In this episode, he leads a single handed rescue. A regular one man rapid response team. And besides, he's a traitor, and in the previews for next week, he carps about how people think he's a traitor. Well at least thank God we aren't seeing the Kim from the second or third seasons. Although she did participate in an all time great 24 scene. Kim: "I shot him"(much crying and sobbing) Jack: "Okay honey....Now shoot him again." |

Tony did take out the assassin at the Bauer home in Season 1.
It would seem to me that most of the people at CTU know gunplay except for the tech people, which Tony is not one of. Jamie was the one opening ports in Season 1, Paula in Season 2, Chloe in Season 3 and 4, now it's Edgar. |

I almost always record network programming and watch it a day or two later, just to avoid the commercials. I just watched this week's '24' last night.

I think that I've figured out how President Palmer will reappear. At the very end of this past episode, out of all the power plants that were still red they focused in on the one that was located in Oregon. Palmer lives in Oregon. Hmmmm..... Just a thought I had earlier today.

Wow. Almost the entire new staff of CTU is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Not to mention completely and utterly incompotent. The black guy and Driscol are boobs. They ineffectively torture the wrong people, arrest the wrong people, make bad calls, over and over. They should be fired immediately. CTU should consist of Edgar Stiles, Chloe (bring her back), and that hot chick they falsely arrested (we bring her back because she's hot and hasn't blatantly fucked up yet), and Jack in the field. That's it. The rest just get in the way. Well, maybe some of those red shirted cop guys to arrest people when they are brought into CTU.

I think it is leading up to some sort of Jack Bauer heading the CTU again or being the head guy of all the CTU's. I wonder if Tony is gonna clean himself up and get back in the game for good, and maybe bring his hot wife back too.

Jack mentioned in the last episode that Michelle was the LA director of CTU (Chapelle's old job I think), so it wouldn't surprise me if she made an appearance soon. Maybe even take over CTU from the bumbling idiots.
