FM: Parlez vouz Francais? Non! Bordeaux entraîneur? Oui!

-International Herald-
Parlez vouz Francais? Non!

But that won't stop Adios Pantalones from taking over the French Ligue Un side Bordeaux. When asked why he chose them he replied, "well the name really rolls off the tongue, Bor-dough, and I enjoy the wine from that region. Not quite as good as a California Cabernet, but I think they'll get there some day."

Needless to say, the team supporters club was not enthusiastic about the appointment of the non-French speaking Frenchman. The son of an American serviceman and a French milk maid, Pantalones was raised in Paris, but strangely never learned to speak French. Pantalones made the supporters even unhappier when he proclaimed that his lack of language skills "won't matter, because I'll be bringing in 11 Brazilians for my starting eleven anyway. So really, you should be asking me about my lack of Portuguese."

When asked about the tragic plane crashes, both blamed on technical flaws in the aircraft, Airbus Model FM05, that had killed his two previous squads, Norwich City and Hertha BSC, Mr. Pantalones stated that "all I can do is restart and hope for the best. I understand that Airbus are working day and night to fix the flaws in the design and until then, we'll take the bus!"

Sweet... I have a Girondes de Bordeaux jersey, so can definitely get into the dynasty.

OT: This may be over before it begins. 0-1-3 to start the season. We'll see how long they'll let me stick around.

Bordeaux fan responding present here ! I grew up watching them dominate the early 80s in France !

RPI-Fan : you do impress me, I do not have a "Girondins" jersey, but I have a very nice polo and cap (of course !)
