2005 Golden Scribe Finalists Announced!!!

2005 Golden Scribe Finalists Announced!

After receiving a huge number of nominations, I tallied up the top vote-getters and came up with the list of finalists. Our Blue Ribbon Panel is already hard at work reviewing the dynasties.

The panel members should have their votes to me in about two weeks, after which the winners will be announced.

Open Voting!!!

I have decided to open voting to the FOFC Community, as I now have time to tally votes. All FOFC member votes will be counted along with the Blue Ribbon Panel. In case of a tie, the Blue Ribbon Panel will break it.

Since a nomination is great honor in and of itself, only one award will be given out for each category, a la the Oscars and Emmys (i.e. no more Silver Scribes and Bronze Scribes).

To vote, send a private message to me with your votes. Only one vote per category, please. All votes must be in my PM box no later than 11:00 p.m. PST on Monday, February 14, 2005.

For more information on the awards, click here.

Congratulations to all of the finalists! Here are the categories:

Actually, the TCY version of Ardent's Walk On Dynasty should read something along the lines of "Walk On: Ardent Leads the Vols".

Or something. I can't remember off hand.

Edit: Just looked it up, I was right. The link is below.

I think I misread the post by Grid Iron. I think community votes were due by Jan 14th and the panel gets the final vote?

Don't most politicians do that anyway, unless you're Clinton, in which case you are running the other way as fast as you can?

Shouldn't this thread be stickied now, instead of the nominations one?

I think that it would be nice if we could get a brief summary of each of these dynasties. I havn't had time to read all of them, (and I know that I won't any time soon) but it would be good to see what kinds of creative ideas were nominated

Here's the summary: they all rock.

Hopefully, I will be able to recruit some award presenters to give brief summaries of what they're about when the presentation show begins.

Don't want this thread to fall too far before SkyDog has a chance to sticky it.

Keep 'em coming.

If anyone wants to be a presenter, let me know.

If you win, they should play "My Sharona" as you walk up to the podium.

I play "My Sharona" if my team beats the Lake Monsters next Monday.
(Shaun Shiroma returned from injury and will make his regular season debut in Futility Bolw IV.)
