FOFExtractor problem

hi

i install the FOFExtractor and i have windows xp.

i loaded FOF 5.1c and went to view staff to show view scouts, then i loaded FOFExtractor and hit Extract.

i get an error it says could not find any windows. make sure you have open FOF and either open a player report, scout, or staff member..

i try them all no luck.

thanks

No part of the player/scout/coach report card is covered by another window, right? Check if the display setting is at 32-bit color depth.

If you're using XP, make sure ClearType and any other "font smoothing" options are off. You can find these in the display settings somewhere.

What specifically does the error say? It sounds like that error thinks the actual player report / scout report / staff report window is not open. Once you say "view scouts", you still need to actually double-click one of the scouts to get the detailed view window open. Extractor will then click the "Next" button for you to advance through the scouts. But you should be looking at the report for an individual scout, not the entire list of scouts when you hit "extract".

it produce the FOFroster.txt,FOFscout.txt and FOFcoach.txt. But its so hard to read. everything is so close to each other. its hard to read.

Put it into an Excel sheet and convert the text to columns using the commas as delimiter.

Column headers are documented in the HTML doc files installed with the Extractor. One of these days I'll get around to just adding them as the first row of the output...
