For some odd reason,
I can't stand Gretchen Wilson. She just seems "fake" (not singing).

So, you're voting Charlie Daniels then?

Nope, I would bang Wilson. I didn't mean "fake" singing or her body.

FWIW and AFAIK, Wilson's "story" checks out. A pretty tough childhood & a pretty big case of "right place, right time, big break". Maybe it seems "fake" because it's a little bit too hard to believe is real?

You're a strange, strange man.

I like Gretchen. I can't stand country music but I'd make an exception in her case.

Basically, the hottest new female artist on the country music scene in quite a while. 3 million units sold on her debut album, the most for any new artist in any genre in 2004, multiple country music awards, and ... four Grammy nominations including one for the coveted "Best New Artist." In addition to awards show appearances, Gretchen quickly became an in-demand television guest with performances on "Leno," "The Today Show," CMA Music Festival special on CBS, in-depth specials on CMT and GAC and others. The final appearance for 2004 was an intimate profile with Ed Bradley on none other than "60 Minutes." CNN has a "People In The News" profile scheduled for mid-February. Prominent print for the year included ink in Rolling Stone, People, Blender, USA Today (including a full-page photo essay), and covers of Billboard (three times), Country Weekly, Pollstar and Country Music Today Magazine. Entertainment Weekly was one of the first magazines to jump on the bandwagon, when they did a two-page introductory profile on Gretchen. Subsequent issues included her in their annual "Power List" issue and reviews on her album and DVD compilation. The magazine ranked her #8 in their Top 12 Entertainers of 2004 in their year-end issue, placing her among the likes of Jon Stewart, Mel Gibson, Prince and the cast of "Desperate Housewives." Rolling Stone editors ranked Party as one of their Top 50 Records of 2004 in a special year-end issue ... People and Time Magazines both listed Here For The Party as a Top 10 music pick for 2004. ... Blender Magazine ranked Party at #14 on its 50 Greatest CDs of 2004.

Here's a decent bio/article on her story

She got left out by that Black Eyed Peas idiot whan he was going through everyone that performed too.

That opening show sucked. The only dam thing worth watching was that one chick from that idiot group that can only make noise and not music, the Black Eyd Peas. She's hot, just a shame that they suck so badly.

Gretchen's face kind of looks like a droopy dog's . FWIW, her new song annoys the Hell out of me! It's basically a slow 'romantic' song that she wants to cheat on her boyfriend so bad, but then thinks about him and that stops her. Argh! If that's her idea of a romantic song....

Charlie Daniels is the MAN though.

Yeah, I don't care for her face much at all. She first came out and I saw the tight jeans and went "wow, let's check her out', then saw the face and started looking for a bag (actually I am stretchign that a bit, she's not ugly, just not hot by my tastes).

That being said, I would still do her if the occasion ever arose and I wasn't happily married (not that I am happily now so I guess only the first part applies).

The pre-game act sucked. Looking at those fake fans they trucked on to the field bordered on travesty...

How in the name of all that is good and pure in this country can Jacksonville host the Super Bowl and not have it's most favored sons, Lynard Skynard, perform?

At least they did get a live concert on CMT the night before the game.
