OT: BEER!!!

I've been reading a book called "Travels with Barley: A Journey Through Beer Culture in America," and just wanted to tell everybody out there who's ever enjoyed a frothy beverage that it's really worth a read. It's written by Wall Street Journal reporter Ken Wells, and is a light but interesting read.

That said, I've been toying with the idea of trying to homebrew for awhile, and reading this book solidified my yearn to do so. Any of you homebrew? Can you recommend books and/or websites and/or email/discussion lists for me to check out, and/or equipment recommendations as well a where to get it?

Enjoy the book and thanks!

very cool. i love books like this. I bought my wife a book about the competitive cooking circuit not to long ago. Another great read. It's called "Cookoff" by Amy Sutherland.
