Valentine's Day Gifts

What are you getting your special lady friends for Valentine's day?

I suck at ideas, so I might just get this chick a bear and a rose.

Also, where did our influx of women at FOFC vanish to? Like Ickey Woods, their careers were short lived, but glorious.

She's not getting a gift, really, just some cards and a fabulous, extremely expensive night out on the town...

Don't do it Shorty, once you start buying Valentines gifts you can never stop or you'll never hear the end of it.

You have to run that sh*t short dog. Tell her you better get a V-Day present or she's to the curb.

Hey! The girls are still here!! well, atleast I still am, from time to time. My BF (CleBrownsfan) is taking me out to a great restaurant and that's all I really want for V-day. I like flowers...those are always nice. But a nice romantic dinner for two is always an acceptable gift on Valentine's day. It's a nice time to catch up with each other!

Get her some bubble bath, some scented oils, some candles and give her a bath, make her dinner, some champagne and a couple of glasses and her favorite movie on DVD even if it's something like Sleepless In Seattle, then sit back and reap the rewards. And hey man, picsplskthx.

I'm right there with you. I get the same responses both before and after the gift giving process. Also I always get the infamous, "you should know what I want."

Sigh.

In any case, I'm getting her a diamond pendant this year. Also, since she has to work on Valentine's day (being a chef sucks this day of the year) I'm going to surprise her with taking her out to a nice restaurant on Sunday and getting her flowers at that time.

I fully expect to lose but I can't miss a championship game that they are in. Valentines Day is pointless, and fortuently for me she agrees so we never do anything.

Did you go last night? Must have been some game. Donato's doing great things for the Crimson, but we can't get over the Beanpot 1st round hump.

Back to the topic at hand, I think I'm going with a spa day gift certificate this year.

2 pronged victory... I don't have to listen to that crap anymore and it shows I care all at once.

Damn, I'm glad to be in Japan.

Girls back home are bitches.

WTF is that you should know what I want shit. I can't believe I ever used to cater to anyone's ridiculous whims like that.

And Condors' post takes the cake. I don't want to impugn the character of your lady fair. Maybe she's just out of sorts on Valentine's Day.

So, I won't say that she's a bitch. But she certainly plays one on TV.

"Gee, you were creative this year."?!?! That' a fuckin' slap in the face. She'd be getting a bouqet of Broccoli and Cauliflower from me the next year. How's that for creative?

It's my anniversary as well. Her birthday was yesterday, so I have the benefit of combining the dates. Well, so far anyway.

I'm actually paying for her to have the lasik eye surgery. She's mentioned it a few times in the past. Working at GNC has helped me stash cash away that she can't track.

She doesn't know yet.

Wow you guys are actually getting your girls something for valentines day?? You really spoil them. Since GE and I go to schools that are 45 minutes from one another, i'll be lucky to get a call on valentine's day. Although he said he was going to take me to Colton's on Saturday night to celebrate. On the other hand, our two year anniversary was yesterday and I did get Rise of Nations out of it. Being poor college students suck.

We were both poor college students when we started dating 9 years ago, but I don't have that excuse not to get her something now.

Earlier I swear she called to taunt me from work. She asked me, "Have you figured out what you are going to get me for Valentine's Day yet? I've given you plenty of clues."

We bought a house last week.

For Valentine's Day, we're remembering that we bought a house and have no money to spend on Valentine's Day. Ah, romance...

For the $10 limit, get a cheap, but good, bottle of wine ($5-$6) and some flowers ($5-$6). It may not be a dozen long-stem red roses, but that is always nice.

My wife and I are going out for a good dinner over the weekend for Valentines, then have a bottle of champagne to drink afterwards. I'll probably get a card, write a little note in it and stick it in her bag when she goes to work on the actual day.

She's not a fan of flowers or jewelry, so I get off easy in that respect. Last year we got each other cell phones and the year before we bought a new HD TV.
