Staples is running an ad campaign which shows people in difficult situations. For example:

- a surgeon doing brain surgery that he's never done before
- a school kid who is asked a question he doensn't know the answer to
- a rodeo guy about to ride a bucking bronco

In each situation the person in trouble hits an "easy" button and the voiceover says something to the effect of "don't you wish life had an "easy" button. Well at Staples...

Hopefully you get the picture. I'm assuming that as a marketing ploy, they are now selling "easy" buttons.

EDIT: My guess is the link is supposed to go to Staples' website where you can buy an "easy" button. However, it looks like the link is a tad off.

2nd EDIT: It is Staples, not CompUSA.

Is this particular easy button cleverly disguised as a tv?

That was my least favorite commercial during the super bowl. I guess I'm not their target audience.

They all do. You're not looking in the right places.

This is really among the stupidest commercials of all time. The Ad agency should fire the moron who proposed the concept, and Staples should be shopping around ot replace the individual who bought off on it.

Edit: The sad thing is, the commercial is probably somehow effective .

I think it's clever in a sense but I do think it misses the mark in that if you hadn't told me, I couldn't name who the commercial was for.

I liked Rubberband Man much more. I think he was Staples.

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. It was a horrid concept and should have never made it on tv.
