TCY: Gameplan Question

I have a guy in my current Nevada Dynasty that rushed for 1400+ yards last season. Through 4 games in my current season he was averaging a big fat 2.7 ypc in the same "system" he played in last year. So i did some tweaking. The results are not that much better. I can't really understand why his production has gone south so my question is - do most of you just go with the scout recommendation? Tailor the run directions to take advantage of a percieved weakness in your opponent's defense ( i.e., weak DE's so you run more to the edges, weak DT's so you run more up the gut)? Or, set the percentages to run behind your best blockers and basically leave it there for the season? I run the I-Formation, btw.

Also, are endurance ratings absolute or an "estimate" of your scout just like the other ratings are?

Did you play a much harder schedule in the first four games than your previous year? Often when I start at a lower profile school my guys will have great numbers against very weak competition then as we get better I start to schedule more difficult teams and our numbers go down. This is especially true in the nonconference games early in the season against good teams. Also, if you lost a couple of lineman or two that can really have an effect.

As for the gameplaning, I never let my scouts do anything in TCY. They just can't seem to make any competent decisions. Start with a "base" gameplan that uses your strengths and then modify it according to the defense(or offense) that you are facing.

I've worked my Prestige up to a 76 and no the schedule wasn't stronger to begin the year. In fact, that's what caused me to become concerned that we were playing somewhat weaker teams and his production was still low. Right now in the WAC Conference Rice and SMU are the top dogs so i expect tough sledding against those teams but against the also-rans i don't see a glaring reason why the running game isn't producing more than it is now. What about Finesse Runs - should i lower the percentages since the I-Formation is supposed to be more of a power run formation?

Yes...plus I would be more concerned with running behind my best blockers as opposed to running at weak spots in the defense.
