Mmmm...bbq!

61 degrees out and I'm feeling like when I get home, it's bbq time baby!!

Some marinated chicken breasts, baked beans, my wife's buttered potatoes, salad.

A few frosty beers as the grill is heating up. Oh yeah, I'm out of here early today.

Well, that's an interesting euphemism I don't recall hearing/seeing before.

I'm in the process of building a BBQ altar in my back yard. I've got one of those humongoloid island BBQs. You know, the ones with 8 burners, side cabinets with granite tops, rotisserie, the works. It does not honor it in the way it deserves by keeping it on the back porch.

I've sketched out what I want to do. I'm gonna pour a 16'X24' slab, and build a pergola to go over it. I'll move out the BBQ to go on the pad, and get an Italian wood fired pizza oven also, so the grill won't be so lonely. I'll run gas and water lines out as well, so I can get the whole outdoor kitchen thing going.

Everyone will be invited to the grand opening.

edit: oven, not over. D'oh!!!

Interesting. Hope it doesn't rain on your pizza.

You know I do a few different ones, but my favorite and easiest is to put them in a dish and season them a tad with a mixture of garlic salt, onion salt, seasoned salt, pepper, ms. dash original, and brown sugar. Cover with a bottle of good italian dressing, plastic wrap and let marinate overnight. Chicken is soooo tender and juicy.

It's even better to put some plastic wrap over each piece before hand and pound them out a little bit, then place in the dish... don't over do it.
