OT: Location of FM2005 Save Game?

Hi,

I need to reformat my computer, and am trying to backup my FM2005 save game. I can't find where save games are located.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
~rpi-fan

It's in the "My Documents" folder.

I believe they are stored in a folder under "My Documents". I'm not at home, so I can't drill it down for you, but if you start searching folders there you should be able to find it.

Marc can give a better answer for why, but I think it has to do with some users not having permissions to all folders on their machine, but everyone has permission to "My Documents".

exactly. It's under "My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2005/Games/" I'm going from memory cause I don't have the game at work, but I am farily certain this is where they are.

This is a perfect thread since I'm getting a new computer later this week and will need to transfer my FM files over. Good thinking RPI-Fan.

I don't carry my FM2005 CD around with me.
