What's up with Canseco?

Is he trying to kill any semblance of credibility he has left? First it was reported that he owed almost 35K in back taxes to Massachusetts. Now, he is hocking his World Series ring on ebay.

This just gives more credence to the theory that the original names in his stories were guys like Felix Jose, Dean Palmer and Dan Peltier and he "sexed" them up to be guys like McGwire, Pudge and Palmiero to sell more books.

ReeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeAAAAAAAAAccccccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe your Buddy McGwire will voluntarily take a lie detector test and clear this hold matter right up. But, then again I wouldn't hold my breath.

And, before Baseball strips Conseco of his awards I want whoever they give them too, to prove they have never taken steroids or any other banned substances in their entire life. (Polygraph)

Canseco appears to be a very desperate attention whore. He needs money and loves the spotlight. So he writes this book, makes all these allegations (true or not, I don't know or care) and this generates interest. Then he goes on ESPN, 60 Minutes, etc, etc.

I used to think (hope?) the same way you did about the best players of our era, but the circumstatial evidence adds up too well for me to believe that these guys did not use steroids.

The change in these guys' appearances and performances, the gawdy stats, the opportunities to make a ton of money in a short period of time vs flaming out or being ordinary, the fact that guys have changed their stories under legal questioning, and the attitude that most athletes (celebrities) have that they are invincible is just too great to ignore. Thinking otherwise, to me, is just turning a blind eye.

I hate to say this ..

... But I believe Canseco about some of the more obvious guys. You know, Mac, Giambi, etc.

The fact that LaRussa said he knew Jose did it, but denies Mac is suspect as hell.

It's stuff slowly starting to add up in Joses corner, even if he's an asshole.

Splitting hairs, but it's not on ebay -- he simply has it listed on his Web site for $40k. You an put it in your shopping cart. I'm sure some psycho nut-job Yankee fan will scoop it right up.

Isn't is curious though that Pudge comes into camp 22 lbs lighter. He is now below 200lbs? It just strikes me as suspicious.

Why? if you woulda read the entire article, he offers his reasoning.

Basically hes 33 and wanted to extend his career by getting into better fitness level. also, he said we wanted to get back about 10 pounds.

The book wouldn't cause him to lose weight, but random testing and suspensions might.
