So my computer power adapter shorts the fuse to my bedroom...any ideas why? is there a fix or do i have to call the electrician tomorrow. I know it is the computer adapter because i did some testing with plugging other things in. anyways, little help please.

I can't get a good understanding of the problem until flere draws a graphical representation.

What size breaker powers the stuff in the room you're having problems with? What else goes out when your fuse blows? I'm definately no electrician but it sounds like you might need a bigger breaker for that area.

TV, DVD, TIVO box, 2 alarm clocks, ceiling fan & light, a remote phone signaller and thats it...nothing big.

Is she doing anything like running a hair dryer or something like that as this happens? Try turning off all the other appliances, TV, DVD, Tivo, lights out, and fire up the PC, then start turning stuff on one at a time and see where it kicks. My guess is if you're on a 10 amp breaker you're just overloading it and killing it.
