Wireless Network Problems....
I have a wireless network at home. I have a DSL modem from Verizon and a Belkin Wireless Pre-N Router. I have one desktop computer (P-3 1000Mghz 512 mg ram with WinXP-Pro) that is hard wired (rj45 cable), one desktop (P-3 550Mghz 384 mg ram with Win2000) and another desktop (T-Bird (AMD) 750Mghz 384 mg ram with Win2000) that are wireless (NIC) and my Dell laptop Inspiron 8600 (Pentium M 1.5GHZ 768Mg ram with WinXP-Pro) - wireless. I also have recently purchased a Canon PIXMA iP-4000R wireless printer.
The network runs beautifully until I encrypt using WPA security. Then, at times I cannot print to my wireless printer, for no apparent reason. Yes, I setup the printer so it uses the encrypted password, as I do all of the computers, well accept for the P-3 550MGhz because it has a 802.11b NIC and no WPA security (only WEP, which is a real pain t use). So I tried using MAC addresses for security and then my laptop has problems staying on the network! I have yet to call Belkin, which I shall do later this week. However I was hoping that someone on this board may have encountered this problem and could halp me out....
