Going to vegas!

I will be going to Vegas for the first time on March 25. This is my second time there, but I was underage the last time (turned 21 last Sept). I was wondering if those that have been there recently can suggest things to do and the best places to do them. Such as best casinos for this, best strip club for that, best resturant on the cheap. Things like that. Oh and any new things that have recently opened up. Thanks a ton. I will be arriving early Friday morning and leaving late Monday night so that is 4 solid days to do shit and March Madness is in full swing.

Last time I was there, the sports book at the Imperial had easily the best longshot odds if you're looking to make a few long-term wagers.

I've been there twice in the past year, but probably won't make it back until the ChampCar race in September. My favorite resturant is "Cravings" at The Mirage, but I don't think it's cheap by Vegas standards. The Ellis Island steak dinner, listed on the Advisor site, is excellent for the money. I mostly go to gamble, so I can offer no help with strip clubs and such...

There's one place that everyone should try at least once. (Okay, there's several, but my contribution.)

In the New York New York casino, there's a pub called Nine Fine Irishmen. In house band that plays 6 days a week, that just ROCKS. It's certainly not a cheap bar, but the atmosphere is simply incredible. Everyone must go.

Best free thing to kill a little time: Fountains at Bellagio

There's all sorts of sites out there on the subject of Vegas, but one that I always look at before going (even if it isn't updated much) is
www.vegas.com

It takes quite a few clicks from one page to the next to navigate everything, but there's quite a bit of good information (buffets, best late night breakfasts, etc) in there IMO.

Vegas Baby! I am headed there for my bachelor party in March as well. 5th time going. I don't know much, I usually am around the craps tables and if not there, then I'm at the Olympic Garden. I just get hammered and see where the night takes me.

I am staying at New York New York so I'll difinately check out the irish pub there. And I know a girl that is going to get us on the VIP list for Club 54 so that'll be cool. Thanks for all the input and the websites. I will be visiting them while at work.

Wow Fellow FOFC'ers within 30 miles of where I live, I feel so elated. While your here make sure you drop by my place in Henderson. Arguably the best hang out in Vegas.

I have to agree that the Nine Fine Irishmen pub always seems to be jumping in New York New York. My ultimate favorite buffet is the one at Mandalay Bay on Sunday nights. It's $21, all you can eat AND all you can drink champagne. It's great if you're a "bubbly" fan, like myself. The Roulette wheel at NYNY was hot for me, so check that out too. And when you get there, ask the cabdrivers where the action is for that night. I've learned from being out there, every bar has their own special night during the week. The cabbies here and see everything....they know exactly where to party!!

I agree that this place is great as well!

There is an outdoor bar by Harrahs that is alot of fun. I dont remember what the name is. It is kinda like a big version of Cocktails. The live music isnt that great but the bartenders are entertaining as hell.

Scenes from the Nine Fine Irishmen. Guy on the right is part of the band, who occaisonally dances with the music, and makes sure everyone is having a grand old time.

He also is the only halfway sober person in that photo.

The guy on the right looks like he's checking out the guy on his left that he's pretty close too.

I am surprised that Shorty wasn't cropped into that picture somehow.

Monte Carlo has a great Italian restaurant, I believe it's called the Main Street Cafe. It has excellent food and I recommend it!
