1. Harry Caray
2. Catherine Bach Warren 3. Pete Rozelle 4. Yitzak Rabin premier I had Ron Howard as my 4th choice until I got to Harry Caray, I just love the dude too much to leave him out. Rozelle and Rabin speak for themselves. And Daisy Duke, nuff said. Daltry, Howard and Bennedict were next on my list. |

This might be the single weakest field I've ever seen. I consider myself, relatively speaking, a fan of Oskar Kokoschka, but I'd be hard pressed to find room for him in my Top 20 painters. And the closest thing to a "great mind" is Georg Simmel? Few of the contemporary figures really impress me, either.
I'll go with: Frederic Chopin Glenn Miller Harry Belafonte Pete Rozelle |

I always liked Nik Kershaw's own version of Wouldn't It Be Good better than the one that made the rounds a bit later... hmmm... soundtrack, I think... was it on Pretty In Pink?

1919 Lawrence Ferlinghetti US, beat poet (Coney Island of the Mind)
- Besides being my favorite Poet, Lawrence Ferlinghetti played a role in the nurturing of the Counter Culture in the 50's and 60's. 1926 Robert Clary Paris France, actor (LeBeau-Hogan's Heroes) - Edged Glenn Miller off the list. Rushmore often has one guy you aren't quite sure of, and Clary is that guy. Hogan's hero's is one of my favorite shows of yesteryear. 1927 Harry Belafonte Harlem New York NY, calypso singer (Buck & the Preacher) - Besides introducing Calypso to popular America. Belafonte was able to crack the color barrier in a whites only culture. 1953 Ron Howard Duncan OK, actor/director (American Graffiti, Happy Days/Willow, Backdraft) - My favorite TV show is Andy Griffith. But thats not it. I think Ron Howard gets involved with movies that penetrate the culture enough to have some impact.

Chopin, Miller, Rabin, Rozelle. I guess. Though I think Deke Slayton deserves at least a mention in the thread, if not a place on the Rushmore.
A few nice looking women in Lana Wood, Catherine Bach and Tawnii Cable....
