FM - Essential Utils?

Are there any utils out there that are a must have for FM? Specifically, one that tracks player development.

I've heard very good stuff about FMScout. Personnaly, I use an excel spreadsheet, but it's a bit weird and would probably cause headaches to most people

FM Scout allows you to export player information from the game into a text, web, or CSV format. You can customize the columns you view. Be warned that the default display shows hidden information such as potential/actual ability.

That is why I don't use it

I'd really like a program that allowed for tracking of player progression without showing hidden information.

when you say that you can customize the columns you view, can you set you columns once and it will remember it, so I could set it to only skills I see in the game and be done with it, use it as a report tool...

That's why I like my excel spreadsheet, because it's based on the "print screens" feature, so you can only print stuff you see with your eyes in the game...

Yes, it remembers your column selection. And the file export only takes whatever columns you have active on the view screen.

So you're only "exposed" to hidden ratings once when settings the columns you really want to see, right?

Then it may be interesting, if only to pull the data at different point in time so I could use it with my spredsheet and compare who's moving up or down in skills...

I'll probably download it...

Thanks for the info

okay, I've downloaded FMScout and fooled around with it, with an old game so I wouldn't see any hidden ratings I don't want to see . I like it, pretty fast and everything. I used another one with CM4 and it was sloooooooow, and you had to have your game loaded in CM4 for it to work. Now you simply open an FM2005 game file and it reads in it...

I'm seriously thinking about putting together a simple excel spreadsheet that would compare two CSV exports from FMScout, so you could see what skills are going up or down, or not moving at all. Of course, it would only involve whatever information is visible in the game. No playing/reporting position ratings, hidden ratings, or potential ability.

I'm not even started, other than in my head, but someday I'll post about it. Anybody interested in it, let me know. I'm not gonna do it for anybody but me, but if anybody else can use it, that would be cool

This sounds interesting. It sounds like I could use it without seeing hidden stuff that I don't want to see. I would use it if you do it
