NBA: Who needs Offense?!

The Pistons scored just SIX points in the 4th quarter tonight vs the Jazz, and won the game 64-62. Utah could only score twelve, setting the new record for lowest combined points in a quarter in NBA History.

The actual game was the 6th lowest total in league history.

It was sloppy as hell, but a win is a win.

Nevermind the fact the end score was reminissicent of a WNBA score.

I followed the game online a little bit. When it said FINAL, I thought ESPN just messed up and it was the end of the 3rd quarter. Sadly it wasnt. Im glad I didnt watch the game.

Do the Pistons really have anything to play for? They have their division won and arent going to catch the Heat. Why isnt LB at least giving some young players a little bit of playing time? He frustrates the hell out of me. Peter Vecsey has been speculating for months that LB is going to go to NY Knicks in a "trade", draft picks and a player. I would love to see that happen.

It was REALLY ugly to watch, but the Pistons won the game, so I don't give a shit.

Pistons only have one young guy who doesn't play, obviously he being Darko.

Dupree is playing more, and playing well off the bench.

I am more interested in Elden getting back in the swing of things since he is going to be seeing minutes in the playoffs.

Delfino is "injured" so he cant play.

Arroyo is playing 6 minutes less per game than when he was in Utah(he was also in the doghouse in Utah).

Dupree who could be a role player has gotten 15, 5, 12, 0 and 5 minutes the past 5 games.

Well yeah, Delfino is hurt, and if he can't go, no reason to risk it. He hasn't dressed in forever.

Arroyo, a guy I love, will get more time soon I am sure. I wouldn't give him as many minutes as Chauncey though, not until April when the season is really winding down.

My concerns are Ben with his bone spurs. I'd let Darko take some of Ben's minutes for now, but it won't happen I am sure.

Sometimes I wish Larry Brown would stop being so fucking stubborn about playing Darko. Now is the perfect part of season to do so.

Looks like Brown will be out for a lil while while he has hip surgery again, pheraps Darko can get a lil bit of PT.

Exactly. I don't see why he wouldn't play him now. Detroit has not a thing to lose by trying to figure what Darko can actually do when he is playing in a game in which the outcome still is in doubt.

I agree 100%. Nothing to lose at this point. Darko needs to show himself and the team something in order to keep his confidence up.

Larry Brown will play Darko as soon as he shows he can play defense

if he isn't showing it in practice he will do try to teach him and improve him but until that happens don't expect him to get minutes

Larry Brown will sign someone from the developmental league who can play some defense before he plays anyone with potential but can't or won't play defense.
