My rant for the day!

I order something from newegg on wednesday, and it ships on Thursday. I goto the tracking website, and it just happens to make it to oklahoma city on sunday. Im thinking good, I am off on Monday, and I will be here when it arrives hopefully so I dont have to drive up to the FEDEX center to pick it up. Of course, it sits all day today in the oklahoma facility and isnt deliverd.....GRR

sounds like you and the internet need a little time away from each other for a little while.

That's weak. Newegg and FedEx are usually superfast sending stuff, even using the SuperSaver mode.

They normally don't deliver things earlier than the projected date for some reason. I called once because a package arrived at the facility 2 days early. I asked why it wasn't being delivered, and they said they wouldn't deliver it early. I asked if I could pick it up, and they said they had to attempt a delivery first... I tried to reason that it would actually waste more money their way, but they didn't seem to care.

They probably don't deliver early, because they want you to pay the extra money for overnight or express delivery. Even if it costs the same internally and takes the same amount of time for them to ship, if they deliver standard stuff too fast no one would ever pay the extra cash for express.

Good for profits, not so good for customer.
