FBCB: Heads up (recruiting)
So I just went through another season with my Wright State Raiders and I had 4 scholarships to use. I only used 3 since my budget was limited and I didn't want a crappy guy taking up a 'ship. Anyway, I figure I'd be able to use that scholly the next year, but it was unavailable. I left one scholarship open, and it wasn't available for me to use the next year. It seems that the game only lets it be the # of scholarships equal to the # of outgoing seniors. So I ran another test, I simmed a whole year without using a scholarship (had 3 walk-ons), and the next year I only had 2 schollies available (equal to the number of departing seniors).
Apparently it won't let you have more than 15 players on your team, even if half of them are walk-ons. You have to cut the walk-ons in order to fill them with scholarship players. This had me befuddled for a bit, so I figured I'd share it with you guys. Is 15 total players on your team an NCAA rule? Just wondering, cuz that's the number you usually see on a team. |

I don't know if it's an NCAA rule, but it's definitely an FBCB rule.

I think you can have as many walk-ons as a you want in the NCAA, but only 15 are allowed to travel (I think, don't know for certain).
