Board Slowdown/Hang-Ups?

Since late last week, I've noticed that the board has gotten slower. I'll either get hung up trying to load the general discussion forum and have to refresh, or within a thread, the posts will appear one at a time and I'll have to scroll down through them. This is happening on both my work and home computer.

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Yep, I've noticed it as well. Not so much the hanging load, but definitely the one at a time appearing of the posts.

I'm in the same boat and also thought it was my own PC, which has been acting very weird lately...

At least, I'm not alone..

This has been happening to me for months now. Not alot, but every once in awhile, and when i hit refresh it becomes fine again. I just assumed it was my comp.

This issue has gotten much worse over the last week for me, am I just imagining it or is everyone else noticing it too?

I've been meaning to bump this - I've been experiencing the same problems since last weekend and through this week.

At times the board is almost unsurfable for me, click on a thread and it'll update 1 reply at a time with 10-15 seconds in between each update.

Yeah, this is odd. I haven't noticed any slowdowns at all, and I just tried it with Firefox, IE, and Opera.

I'm having this problem every time I visit the board and it is REALLY ANNOYING for me, since I'm on dial-up already. For those that are having the problem, what browsers are you using?

IE. My main problem is when I either refresh this forum or when I click on the forum from the page listing all of the forums. I get the top of the page right away, then the rest takes 30 seconds or so to show up (it might take longer, but when it persists, I just X out and start fresh with a new page. I also get the same type of hang-up on individual threads, but not as often.

Yeah, that is my exact problem. I use Firefox, but by the looks of it it's not a browser problem.

Not me. I've got DSL at work and cable at home and it happens at both places.

Happened to me yesterday. Threads would appear one post at a time for about 8-10 posts and then finally I would get a burst of posts. I use IE on an office LAN.

Despite the fact that I haven't posted to this thread in a few weeks, my problems have continued. It's just getting back to the point of annoyance where I felt like digging this thread back out and calling attention to it again. It doesn't happen every time, but about half the time I'm on the board, this forum and/or a thread I click on hangs, and I usually have to refresh once or twice (or just shut the browser down and start over) before it works properly.

It continues to happen to me at work (DSL, IE) and at home (cable modem, Firefox).

More of the same for me as well. Assuming it will be something that we'll just have to deal with if we want to continue frequenting the board.

I had a problem with this one day last week, but that was the only time I've seen it...
