FM: stadium expansion
I've never expanded a stadium in my days playing CM or FM. When I put in the request do I get a choice of what to add? For example, I just promoted into Serie C1 in Italy. I have a 5000 capacity stadium with 2500 seats. It is easily the smallest. I have $4M in the bank and would like to at least make by entire stadium seated if not expand it further.
What is the likely cost of an expansion to lets say a 10,000 seated capacity stadium?

All you can do is ask, and the board will indicate yes or no. They choose all the details. I'm not really sure about the specifics of cost, its been a while since I have had a stadium expanded.

Yeah what ice said...you have no say in how big the expansion will be.

Also, at least in past editions, you needed to sell over 90% capacity for a season's league matches before they'd expand.

Which makes sense...Why expand a stadium if you can't fill it? ![]() I've notice that in my dynasty, CC has a 5000-capacity stadium, but 500 seats. Whats the effect of having seats (I know they are more comfortable and all that) on the game? Does it bring more people out? Do seats bring more income then bleachers/standing? |

As stated above the board would make all those choices for you and determine what you can/can't afford - much like in real life

In some leagues, like the Premier League, I believe that a stadium has to be an all-seater. If its not, I think those sections are closed until they can be converted. I am not 100% sure about this though. |

At the top levels of most leagues, you MUST be an all-seater (IE, all seats, no standing section) for safety reasons. This is due to safety reasons, look up the Heysel Disaster among other things. most well heeled season ticket holders will want seating, it's too plebian to stand up

Oh I understand it in reality, but I was wondering what effects it has in the game? Does it increase ticket sales? |

It would increase revenue as well as seat tickets would cost more.
