Revelations the mini series?

Just wondering if anyone is watching this? I'm gonna give it a shot, since I've been reading Revelations in a Bible study group...

Watching it atm, not really gotten into it yet. I'm hoping there's a good hook, since this is the type of story I usually like an awful lot.

If I remember right, in the first 15 minutes:

It was revealed that Bill Pulman's character's daughter was killed by that obvious devil guy. He strangled her and cut out her heart as part of some ritual. The nun was at some mountain in Mexico, where a shadow of Christ on the cross appeared, and his head turned towards them. Also, the girl that's in the hospital was hit by lightning as she was running towards school.

The first episode wasn't very exciting, but I'll watch next week again.

I TIVO'd this for Mrs. Eaglesfan. I'll likely watch it with her tomorrow. She is very excited about the potential of this show, as it is the type of show she usually enjoys.

I hear UPN is going to be making a Smallville-type series about a young Jesus who can't figure out how to deal with his magical powers through highschool. Like, there's one episode where Jesus is the towelboy for the football team (Pontius Pilate is team's prick quarterback) and he accidentally turns the gatorade into wine, with comic results. It's called "Christburg"

I guess that speaks to what extent we think network execs will go to rip off ideas and twist them into new, immutably stupider ones.
