Bengals Better hope Rudi is healthy

“It’s the number I had when I last played,” Perry said. “I wore it before college. I chose it because I couldn’t think of a great running back that ever had it and I wanted to continue that tradition..

Chris Perry, another product of that academic machine that is michigan On getting #23

This reminds me of a Michigan game that lurker and I went to, I think when Perry was a junior. There was this kid who kept yelling "Perry's number 1!" at least one thousand times during the game. Really REALLY annoying, especially since Perry was barely doing anything all game -- I think he was just getting over an injury, and B.J. Askew was listed as the starting tailback and fullback at the time.

It's just possible the Bengals snipped the real quote.

That is possible.. thats why I was wondering where the quote came from.. I could have been a bit more tactful I think.. But I doubt even a retard would be so bold as to say "I prefer to remain mediocre and nothing more" In so many words.

I happen to think that Perry and the Bengals in general will be getting some respect after the coming season. Barring catastrophic injury problems, they should easily be one of the top 5 teams in the AFC.

Or it's possible Ragone's just a hatah of the Maize & Blue. That would be sad.

I treat the Bengals making the playoffs like I treat the Braves not winning the NL East - I'm sure it's a possibility, but I'm not counting on it until I see it happen.
