Post RESULTS for IWS #106: Stupid is as Stupid Does

We had 37 entrants this time.

Question #1: Who is the most stupid living American politician?

This was intended as a screen-out question and it certainly worked out that way.

George W. Bush 29
Tom Delay 3
Dan Quayle 2
Jesse Helms, Ted Kennedy, and Arnold with 1 apiece

Question #2: Who is the most stupid living American celebrity?

This one caught me a little by surprise, although I can't argue with the choice.

Paris Hilton 22
Jessica Simpson 6
Britney Spears 4
Anna Nicole Smith 2
George W. Bush 2
Keanu Reeves 1 <-- gold

Question #3: Who is the most stupid living American pro athlete?

This was easily my favorite question of the bunch since we have so many athletes tripping over themselves to be gloriously stupid.

Mike Tyson 11
Terrell Owens 6
Jose Canseco 4
Quincy Carter, Ron Artest, John Rocker, Barry Bonds, and "Ron Mexico" = 2 each
Sammy Sosa, Manny Ramirez, Ricky Williams, Randy Moss, Latrell Sprewell, and Freddie Mitchell = 1 apiece

Question #4: What is the most stupid sport?

I was expecting this to be a bit more uniform, but it turned out not to be so.

Curling 10
NASCAR 9
Soccer 5
Wrestling, Hockey, Golf, Baseball = 2 each
Poker, WNBA, Synchronized Diving (somebody has issues!), Boxing, and Midget Tossing (sport or leisure activity?) = 1 apiece

Question #5: What is the most stupid current TV show?

A good sprinkling of answers, anda split at the top.

American Idol 8
The Simple Life 8

Survivor 6
The Surreal Life 3
A bunch of other ones = 1 apiece

Question #6: Which of these questions is the most stupid?

Your basic try-and-out-think-everyone question.

#6 = 24
#1 = 5
#2 & #5 = 3
#4 = 1
All of them = 1

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Damn. I had a tough time choosing between Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

(Wow, I just sounded like an NBA player for a second...)

WOOHOO, I finally won one without being tied with 7 other people I'll take a tie with just one other.

BrianD, do you want to have each of us submit 3 questions? I can administer it if you want, I think we sitll have the spreadsheet from when Oliegirl won last.

I blew this one by not going with Terrell Owens and by not understanding the logic behind the last question, first thing listed always wins, right?

Alright, I finally got my first win. Tough call on the stupid sport question. Luckiliy the curling inspiration finally hit.

Radii, I'll be happy to have you administer the next challenge. I'll send you a PM shortly.

Damn! I knew Quincy Carter wasn't the right answer for #3, but there were so many good choices, and I had to pick only one.

Same here, I thought there were more soccer haters here. Plus, I figured the bad-mouthing that The Office has been getting here had to count for something. I guess not...

What kind of FOF fan are you if you didn't put curling up for stupidest sport?

Ditto. With all the talk of Front Office Curling, I thought it was a "stupid" sport, not a stupid sport. I went with a hated one as well.

Oh well, I figured that curling would be the obvious "stupid" answer. I guess I was right, but was wrong to expect it to be an unanimous selection.
