I was once dragged to a Green Day concert. All in all it actually wasn't bad. They are a pretty good live band.

i considered going to see them up, but i couldn't get any tickets on the floor and there is no way i'm paying 45 bucks to see Green Day and have to sit in a damn seat

Wow... I'm super jealous!

Enjoy it, buddy! I wish I was seeing them live. Saw their "Storytellers" on VH1 and it looked like a blast!

I don't see how a band with 3 chord progression rocks.

Punk is OK but Green Day? I never liked them so I guess I'm biased.

edit: also, rock has more than a 3 chord progression while most of Green Days songs sound the same *imo*.

Never did like them either.

I'm more of a Damgeplan/Pantera/more technical guy.

I've actively played guitar for more than 15 years so classical guitar is another biggie for me.

Well if you didn't like the Ramones, how can you say you think Punk is ok .

The Ramones really rocked... so perhaps you just don't like punk.

I kinda though they went mainstream near the end.

I liked The Rollins Band though (not punk but still).

Okay, so were back and let me tell you if I had to use one word word to describe the concert, it would be: "Gratitude"

I felt like the entire time the band was totally trying to give us their all. They NEVER took a break and played a 2 hour set straight through. They brought 3 people on stage to play instruments during one chorus (which may symbolize the ease of their music) and brought another kid on stage to play with a water gun and douse the crowd. They covered a ramones song, sung "we are the Champions" by Queen, and played all of their old hits. They constantly involved the crowd and very much seemed sober which is in stark contrast to when Is aw them in college. It was a spectacular show and lived up to my high expectations.
