Quick turn on the Neb-OU baseball game.
Where the hell is eveyone.
Neb is ranked 6th in the nation and OU is trying to make the playoffs. And I am guessing there are maybe 100 people attending? 75 parents and 25 journalist? There might be 10 students there since baseball tickets are basically free. Probably a better place to study than the library. At least quieter anyways. College Baseball; what a Complete waste of a Universities money and ESPNs broadcast time. Maybe Neb could drop the Baseball program all together and split the Men's scholarships between football and basketball. |

Watching this game further, I must admit that ESPN is doing a great job at NOT showing the stands. We are getting a lot of tight shots and field level cameras on the players to avoid showing the empty stands.

There were over 20,000 in attendance for yesterday's Georgia-Georgia Tech game. Don't condemn the sport based on one game.

Also, ESPN most likely would not be showing this if there were hockey playoffs going on right now.

I watched the OU - WSU baseball game yesterday. And, it is not like they are using the local announcers. These games have got to cost ESPN something to cover. I guess it beats reruns of The Strong Man contests. ![]() |
