One of my favorite things to do in Photoshop is to colorize black and white photos like the examples below:

By the way. Shorty good job using the selection tools. You cut Jordan away from the background really well. Pumpy, I am surprised on how convincing it looks considering that is seems to use a flash camera. The light does not look uneven at all. Franklinmobile, I keep forgetting that the picture is not Shorty. I have to look at it closely to realize it's the traitor that didn't want to play for my Chargers. Great job.

The pictures I did were pretty easy. Since I did them all indoors, all I had to do was make sure that the light sources never changed. When I start doing outdoor shots, I'll have to do them pretty quickly so that the light is the same in each frame, but it should still be pretty basic. Even though I have a little experience with Paint Shop Pro, I'll check out the tutorials and see if I can apply any of the concepts to my work.

And Cringer, you did a hell of a job on those uniforms. They look so real. That must have been a *itch trying to get the shading and light sources just right, but upon closer inspection, I still can't tell that it has been altered.

Argh. I realized that i left out these tutuorials. This is where I learned the concept of colorizing black and white photos. This is also a great place to compete against others doing photo manipulation.

Thanks. It is one of my better ones, that is why I posted it. Although I could spend a bunch more time on it I think to get it better. I see several things to pick at when I look at it. Mainly the fact that I didn't have the time to put a small sun reflection on the Grizzlies' (team on the left) helmets.

That and this was my first picture trying to change a guys skin color, not sure how I like that part.

Here is a free plugin for Photoshop/Photoshop Elements/Paint Shop Pro users. However it is only for the PC. But this is great for you photographers and photo manipulators.

Believe me, if I had gone to work yesterday expecting to make that picture, I would've brought different shirts and hats. I kinda did it on a whim.

It works on both levels - either a funny joke by him, or a funny joke on him!

Funny on what level? Its not a joke on me that Shorty is fucked up on Mountain Dew in that picture. he also needs to shave.

Is the joke that he doesn't look like Peyton Manning? Is the joke that Peyton would never get drunk like that? I guess he doesn't look like peyton manning.

Is the joke that Shorty is not drunk in that picture? That's what he really looks like? One thing for sure is that shorty has something weird going on with that big melon of his. it kind of reminds me of Phillip Rivers. That guy has a ginormous melon too.

Think Eli, I don't get it.

I still can't get over how good that line of scrimmage looks in the picture above. I did not know you could do such cool stuff with photoshop.

I also can't get over Shorty's picture. There is no alcohol in the picture, but he looks drunk. He totally has that dumb look on his face like he is totally blitzed, but he is still having a good time. He looks one drink away from passing out.

I changed my mind on the jordan picture. I like the grainy one the best.

Hey Jeeb. I usually don't click on the links because I am afraid of getting a computer virus.

Pumpy also looks like somebody famous. I want to say Eddie Murphy, but I think it is just because of the mustache. Either way the pictures are very funny.

I definitely think Shorty is drunk in that picture. it is funny how people can look different when they are drunk. Shorty definitely loos like he has been having a hard night or day or whatever. I remeber the pictures of Shorty posted where he was palying bbal and I remember thinking he had a face like a girl. But definitely not in the picture above.

That chubby kid is sweet. i think i've seen that before.
