Spurrier averaged 4.04 ypc as a rookie on 257 carries. For now, he'll be given the chance to be our feature back. FB Wayne, a four-time All-Pro, doesn't have it any more, and will be cut.

Poole, Compton, and Jones look like they should make a pretty solid WR trio. TE Childress is a good blocker and pretty decent receiver.

We're obviously quite young on the offensive line. Looks like Wilson, Hanson, Wade and Philyaw could all be long-term solutions. If I can re-sign Hanson, and sign or draft a solid offensive guard, I see us being fine here in a year or two.

Well, Pollard and Dragos look like nice options. Wiley is passable, but not worth what he's making. I'd like to bring in another DE and DT.

Ugh. Obviously, we've got some work to do at the LB position. Howard was an All-Pro last year, but beyond him, we have no other LB's who I want to see the field.

Apart from 2nd-year man Ken Davis, the secondary looks very, very vulnerable. CB Jordan is better against the run than against the pass, so he won't do, either. Some cuts are forthcoming, to be sure.
