Individual supplemental health insurance
Anyone know if such a thing exists? I guess what I'm after is an Aflac type plan, only on an individual basis rather than company related. I have health insurance through work, but it is the type of coverage that is ok if you have a cold or the flu but if something more long term or serious happened, I (and my family) would be in a tough situation.

AFLAC is quality coverage for supplemental (Former AFLAC salesman here)
They have policies outside of work as well. Check out their site, and it will get you in touch with who you need to for your area.
