HT-USA National Trainer Election
Discuss.
Once again, thanks go to AE for representing us and working his ass off and doing the best that he could do. I hope that the next coach is as dedicated as you were.

Warning: Copied and pasted from another forum. Thanks. I think I'm going to let the USA determine if I run again. If I show up in the Top 10 again without pushing the envelope, I'll likely run again. If it doesn't happen, I'll bow out gracefully. However, the job is a lot of fun and I'd hate to horde it all. Parts of me wants to keep it, and parts of me wants to let it go. I hate seeing how far this team has come with me at the helm. That part of me wants to give it two more seasons. The only reason I'd give it up, in all honesty, is because of how fun it is. Well, that, and the hundred HT letters I receive each week about some scrub.

I don't remember there ever being an election where the incumbant hasn't even been in the top 10... whether he was running or not.

i think AE did a great job at u20. i completely agree with him playing the younger guys the last few games when we there was no possible way for us to advance. i would vote for him again if he ran

Uh. AE didn't coach u20, brxnivy does. AE has been national team trainer for 2 season. That said, the only reason I *don't* want AE to win/run again is because I really don't like the "legacy coaches" who keep coaching for multiple terms. Then again, the only candidate I've heard of is Basil II (ok, I haven't even heard of him/her). But there seems to be some belief that this person is a good person (youngest team in dIII??). Anybody here planning on running? /tk

Agreed. I think I should share the fun/headache. I don't think OP had a top 10 last NT election, but I could be wrong.

As a random aside, I noticed that GM-Buckeye is running.
That might make things interesting, he's been a long-time HT'er. /tk

Indeed. I'm curious as to how it will pan out. I'd like to throw a disclaimer out to my fellow FOFCers: Don't vote for me if you feel there's a better candidate.

Hell man, mention names. I, honestly, form regular grudges against them, and then completely forget about them. I need a refresher.

I knew I tasted something funny in the punch during the Super Bowl.
Dang it.

I'm very surprised that I am. I don't believe OP or slashers made the Top 10 after their terms. Well, slashers did on his second term, but he openly wanted that. Since I did make the Top 10, I'm considering a very passive campaign. I will likely end up running, but I doubt I'll win this time. If I lose, I will offer my services to the winner. I do like a couple of the other candidates, and encourage all of you to vote as you wish.

Sorry, AE I voted for JDurden11, but he is also in FOFC so its ok. He'll play 4-3-3 CA, and I think that a CA dominated squad is the only way the U.S. is going to fight the diminishing returns of the last 8 seasons of World Cup play. I'm intrigued that GM-Buckeye would make a roster dominated by multiskilled players. I'm not sure we have the players yet to carry out that ambitious plan, but its interesting anyway.

I used to vote HFP every election.
Paks, like I said before, vote for who you want. FOFC or not.
