Thanks for this! Some really bad-sounding shows - Being Bobby Brown? These shows that follow celebs around are just going crazy. Venus and Serena, Tommy Lee, Hilton,...
KATHY GRIFFIN, the world's most annoying pseudo-celeb? Honestly, I'd rather live in a world in which the only sounds I hear are Fran Drescher and Mikalah Gordon duets than to even see 3 seconds of Kathy Griffin's untalented ass (or any other part of her). I have an undying hatred of that woman that far surpasses anything of its kind. Oh, and I hope Criss Angel has to do with Peter Criss...

I can't believe they are going forward with Big Brother 6. Or Gilligan's Island 2. Unbelievable.

Tommy Lee at school, and other realities
It's summer, and TV has many reality shows in store NEW YORK (AP) -- Get ready for Tommy Lee as an undergrad, two separate dance contests and apprentice rock stars, apprentice chefs, apprentice fashion designers, apprentice scholars, apprentice slackers and apprentice Hiltons. With your favorite television series hibernating for the summer, television networks are uncorking a flood of reality programming. Broadcast networks want to do more than show reruns all summer -- but they don't want to spend much money, either. The result is reality-clogged schedules. If the networks are lucky, one or two might capture the public imagination. Summer has started already for the networks; "Hell's Kitchen" began Monday, and the WB begins its heavily promoted "Beauty & the Geek" on Wednesday. As the title suggests, the series takes some socially challenged smart guys and couples them up with dimwitted lookers. The couple that works best together in various contests could share $250,000, and who knows what else? "I wouldn't call it a reality show so much as a social experiment," said Jason Goldberg, who produced the series with Ashton Kutcher. Other new series in the works:

Dead Zone, Monk, and Stargate- I guess that's as many shows as I watch during the regular seasons on tv so it's time to get ye olde vcr back up and running.

Which is better?
Repeats or reality shows? The networks have finally figured out what to do with the summer season. Reality shows are dirt cheap, can draw lots of advertising dollars, and if lucky can become a hit (it's happened before). With cable network shows not always on hiatus in summer, this is the way to go. Reality shows I will watch: Hit Me Baby, The Scholar, Fire Me ... Please, The Cut, I Want to Be a Hilton, Rock Star: INXS, Brat Camp, So You Think You Can Dance, Welcome to the Neighborhood, Beauty and the Geek, Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back Other shows I will watch: Into The West |

Given that I watch very few TV "shows," I'd much rather have 25 brand-new reality shows from which to pick 3 to watch, than have a summer full of reruns of shows I didn't want to watch the first time around. The last couple of nights, my wife and I have actually watched a mix of South Park and baseball from 8:30 to 10:30 or so. There's nothing else worth watching. So, we'll probably be all over Hit Me Baby tonight, just because.

I wonder if they realize how boring the Law Firm will be. I'd rather have Fritz's cat lick my eyeballs for an hour.
I'll watch Entourage again and we laughed at Beauty and the Geek last night. |

Deadzone and The 4400 is all my Tivo will have on it. Pretty sad, but that leaves time for me to get back into my FM dynasty.

The Dead Zone is pretty much the only show I plan on watching from those lists. Monk is a good show, but it's not a show I make sure I catch when it's on.

Monk, Ghost Hunters, Battlestar Galactica, and both Stargates are the ones I will be returning to (maybe The 4400 but I didn't see the season finale).
Empire looks interesting. You don't see many series dealing with the Roman Empire. Last edited by TazFTW : 06-02-2005 at 03:31 PM. |

No way. This will be awesome. I can see it now: Ksyrup shows up at the office. Ksyrup checks the FOFC, maybe posting something. Ksyrup listens to his voice mail, reads his e-mail. Ksyrup checks the FOFC. Ksyrup takes a telephone call from a client, sets up a meeting for next week. the regular mail comes in and the mail room clerk drops some mail in Ksyrup's in box. Some random attorney wanders into Ksyrups office t ask about his weekend plans. Ksyrup talks to him while posting on FOFC. Ksyrup wanders into the lounge to get a cup of coffee. Ksyrup takes a call from his wife. Ksyrup checks FOFC. WTF? how come nobody has responded to the thread he started? Ksyrup reads a legal document sent to him in the mail from another attorney. Ksyrup checks [ESPN or MLB.com or something] no scores yet in any of the major league games. Ksyrup checks FOFC. Ahh, JeeberD responded to his thread. Ksyrup dictates a letter regarding the legal document he read. Ksyrup downloads an mp3. man these guys suck. Its like a combination of Lost, Fear Factor, and the MTV Video Awards. |

You guys must have the ultimate in spyware. ![]() I get my billables in, don't you worry. It's nice not having minimum billing requirements, though. I get my work done efficiently and competently and that's about all that matters.
