Movies - The Longest Yard

The girl and I saw this last night and I laughed my ass off.

Was pretty funny. Lots of cameos. Stone Cold, Goldberg, The BOZ, Romo, and Michael Irvin. Worth going and seeing. And if you like Courtney Cox she looks pretty hot in it too...

I liked this one, too. It seemed like I recognized almost everyone in the movie.

I thought it was cool seeing all of the Wrestlers/Football players on the big screen, and I thought Kevin Nash shined big time. However as far as the quality of the movie, and even the quality of the humor, I'd give it a strong 4 out of 10.

We need Adam Sandler to do more movies like this!

Maybe he could do a comedic remake of Star Wars next. I can see it now... The Millenium Falcon all tricked out with a killer sound system, and spinning rims!

The movie was so-so, I enjoyed it..but I went in expecting it to be what it was.

Stayed more true to the original than I thought it would, albeit with loads more racial jokes, gay jokes, and tranvestites.

I didn't even realize Kevin Nash was in the movie. Which one was he?

Was the giant guy who could barely speak a wrestler also?

Yep. From his bio:

Dalip Singh is a 387 pound power lifter from India who has an extensive background in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Japanese grappling, martial arts - akido and judo - Greco Roman wrestling, western wrestling and the Indian martial art of kalari.

He appeared as a surprise guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien with scheduled guest Adam Sandler on May 26, 2005. Even though he doesn't speak much English, Singh did say that he was 7' 2" and weighed 400 pounds.

Ahh, that's what I figured after I asked that, but watching it I had no clue that was him.

Course I haven't really seen him since he was Shawn Michael's bodyguard back in the day. Diesel I believe?

Just got to watch it. FUNNY FUNNY SHIT.

Best performances go to Bob Sapp and Kevin Nash. Hah! They made me laugh out so loud.

"I think I just made him shit himself!"
