OT- GF and 3R just spilled paint

...all over the carpet. it is blue latex paint and we've been hitting it with hot water and a steam cleaner for about an hour now and it's still there; baby blue. any suggestions at this point?!

Shag carpet on the walls, and a lamp and Ottoman hanging from the ceiling.

If there's liquid and latex on the floor involving your girlfriend and roomate, chances are its not paint.

I can barely get dog throw up out of my carpet. Blue paint? Good freakin luck.

The problem is the 3R. Put some 10W-40 on it and see if you can get rid of the 3R.

the only solution i can think of involves a flux capacitor, plutonium, and a DeLorean.

What color was the carpet originally? Get some paint of that color and you're good to go.

An exacto knife and some new carpet. It's the only way to be sure.

yep. slice out the affected carpet and plop in a new piece of the same kind. should do the trick. especially if you super-glue it onto the other pieces so it doesn't come out, and then "weather" it well.

I had moderate success with Oxyclean once. It got my carpets pretty clean. Its worth a shot at least. I would go get the good steam cleaner from lowes tho.

I had a similar situation happen at a friends house once. My friend was grabing a can of paint out of a finished room in the house they were remodeling. We were standing there bullshitting and he started shaking the can. One good shake, and the lid flew right off!

We had a nice puddle of white paint on dark grey carpet. We kept it wet with water and ran the carpet cleaner for a few hours. Got it all out though.
