Smile OT - New Arrival

Yesterday, my wife (ibnsgirl) gave birth to our first baby, a beautiful baby girl. Lucinda Marie Rodriguez was born on 7/6/2005 at 18:35 (Local US Central Time). She was a hefty 8 lbs 4 oz and was 19 & 1/2 inches long.
We had been in the hospital since about 11:30 AM (US CT) due to a small complecation, but everything went smoothly and both mama and new baby are doing great! The entire actual labor (pushing part) took all of 15-20 minutes! Great but certainly unexpected from a first time mom!

Both grandmothers (1st time GMs too) made it to us at about 17:00 (US CT) and were shocked and surprised at the quick delivery. But both were crying tears of joy when they first saw Lucinda.

Baby and Mom will be released tomorrow morning and I will be spending another night in the hospital.

I'm working on about 10 hours sleep over the past 2 days, so I am going to take a nap.

Pictures will be upcoming when made available. Thanks to everyone who has been keeping us in their thoughts and prayers. It was a little early, but an excellent youthpull none the less. (Actual due date as 7/14/2005).

Sorry for any misspellings or incoherent ramblings, like I said working on little sleep.

You should have named her Rodney. I'm disappointed.

Congrats Tony and Lee and Lucinda!!!

Glad to hear it went well and it was more or less very simple (15-20 minutes of pushing/labor...I hope it's that way for me when it's my time to have a child!).

Pics plx k thx.

I get the idea that no trip to the hospital will be that simple for you.

I put the over/under on bones broken during delivery at 2.5.

Yeah, sorry. I just couldn't do that to her.
I can call her Rodnerina every now and then if that makes you feel better...

On the same token, Mom, Baby L, and Dad are back home.
Pictures real soon.

Congradulations! They change you life more than I can ever say. If you have kids you know what I mean, if you don't you really won't understand until you do.
