WTH is up at Cincy? (Huggins)

Just popped over to ESPN and noticed this in the headlines area:

Huggins is apparently going to be ousted.

True, his players have had off-the-court problems by the truckload and he's been busted for DWI earlier this year, but why the sudden dismissal this close to the start of the season? Anyone up Cincy-way know the particulars?

The new president has wanted him out since she got here. For her it is apparently an image thing, but in reality, I think it's an ego thing.

what is the correct usage of WTH as opposed to WTF? Is WTF a harsher, more direct assault on the item at hand? Is WTH just a more pc term? Just a matter of personal preference?

NO!

We are supposed to be getting freaking BLUE CHIP top talents in the nation because they want to play for Huggybear. If he's gone this will never happen and we will proceed to become just like a team like Providence- good conference, gets their ass whooped.

Yeah, without having him throw hookers and cash at recruits who no one else will touch with a 10' pole, how will Cincy win (first round NCAA games)

SI

Well yeah except when was the last time Huggybear actually won anything worth mentioning. You guys are already Providence, just with better talent.

This link pretty much sums up what went down. The August 8th memo from the university to Hugg's lawyer pretty much sums up their stance.

Argh, this is horrible news for me - there goes a lock for a first round NCAA upset every year. Someone who might actually know how to coach basketball could take over - then again Cincy will be playing against the likes of UConn, Syracuse, ND, Pitt, Providence, Nova and familiar rival and Louisville so they probably won't get a high enough seed (if they make the NCAAs) to be considered an upset.

I'm guessing NMSU. After Reggie Theus proves next year that he's a better actor than basketball coach NMSU will try to make a big hire by bringing in Huggins. Hey, he'll fit in perfectly with football coach Hal Mumme (who got Kentucky put on probation) and AD McKinley Boston (who was VP at Minnesota during their bball scandals)...

Nah he'll go to South Florida, just to stick it to the Cincy administration each year in conference play.

Huggins is probably my favorite coach of all-time of any Cincinnati team (Marvin's only had 2 years). This is really going to bum me out.

Huggins once won my brother's hat in a beer chugging contest at a party. I don't remember if my brother was 18 or 19. I'll say this. The man can drink a beer.

Meh. I think Terry Bowden could drink him under the table and have enough left to still get a coed besides.

Huggins and Bowden cannot be heavy drinkers. They went to WVU.

No shot Huggins coaches WVU, he probably wishes he'd have accepted their offer a few years ago.
