End of season 26
So how did your team finish the season?
I expected to have to fight to avoid auto-demotion, but ended up with 25 points and 3rd place in III.6. Week 14 ratings (MOTS) South Bay Saints
The 65 stars and a 327 Hatstats rating are team records. |

Gargoyles pulled off a qualifier entry in the last week of regular season. We'll be playing the Rochester Roosters. I'm pretty sure that's somebody here. An FOFC qualification match.

Somehow. Someway. God knows how, but I ran the table in one of the hardest IV's in the country. Back to III and mediocrity I go.

I tied my last game but still had enough points to autopromote back to IV. According to akickku's site I am going to IV.56

Had my best season ever.
Finished 4th in V.89 which was in the top 10 USA V. series for most of the season. Had a +3 G.D. which had been negative during my first 3 seasons. Tom O'Connor scored a hattrick to become V.89's leading goal scorer (16 goals)

I finished the season in 4th place (rather than 2nd) thanks to one of the nastier "midfield isn't everything, it's the only thing" WTF matches I've seen in a while (or at least, been on the wrong end of). 54% possession and losing every single other rating got them a 7 - 1 chance advantage and a 3 - 2 victory (with my second coming on a special event). As badly as it annoys me, it could be worse... it could have cost me something that mattered, rather than just prize money and cup seeding.

2nd place with a loss saturday to the 8th place team.... I played on normal (probably should have MOTsed). Bleh. Had I won, I would have been playing on D2 without having to play a qualifier.
Nevermind. |

Took care of G's Goons to finish 3rd in ML (down from 2nd last season). Another "nice" season, without great success. Such is the story of my franchise. I should rename myself Everton.
Sunday's MOTS gave me nice enough ratings: Midfield: brilliant (very high) Right Side Defence: magnificent (low) Central Defence: brilliant (high) Left Side Defence: brilliant (low) Right Side Attack: outstanding (high) Central Attack: excellent (high) Left Side Attack: inadequate (low) Akickku's site says I averaged 2nd best midfield in ML, 4th best attack and 4th best D (Titans won ML while being 1st/3rd/3rd). So I guess I need to upgrade. Working on it. Addendum: 2nd placed team (Team Spork) sold off his whole team. Not sure if he's quitting or not, but that would make things interesting. He's my bogey team of sorts (0-6 all-time; 0-2 in II and 0-4 the last 2 seasons in ML). Last edited by BillyNYC : 08-29-2005 at 03:01 AM. |

Winning 7-1 in their last game with all time highs of 272 in ratings and a first ever 60 stars, the Dragons won III.15 in their return to III, at the same time clinching autopromotion to division II. The good news is we're set to promote to the toughest division II in Canada, where we'll get our butt kicked for the next 14 weeks...

Crazydoods finished 6th in IV.17 with 21 points (tried to concentrate on the cup this season) and have a qual match against RedHot Chili Peppers from V.9. They are a decent team but we shouldn't have a problem beating them.

My 327 hatstats was good for 8th in the US and 2nd in III. Only apoc, who is in my series, had a higher rating in III.

Finished 2nd with 11 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.
The two losses were to the champions of v.224 and were both wussy events. All told, that guy had a bunch of stud events (the opposite of RTFC's season). We're getting 2 pansies from VI and Solar from IV.24 coming down. Early prediction: Another 2nd place finish in v.224 |

Finished 1st in my french div IV series, and am likely to lose my qualifyer on Saturday.
I dominated the 1st half of the season, going 6 straight wins. And then form started to hit the crapper and I finished the season limping along, just barely holding on to 1st place...

Well, I finished in third place in series VI.269. The series sits at the 28th hardest in Div VI.
I totally screwed up the (former) first place team, PLcoast's, chance to finally autopromote to V by beating him, thus allowing the second place team to take over the top spot and autopromote. I think that I had a major hand in causing PLcoast to play a qualifier last season, which he obviously lost. As for me, my rating of 159 was enough to put me in 28th. Getting rid of the team that I did, Berkely Barons, will hopefully put me into contention for Div V next season, as he was my hardest opponent. We will see...

The only match he had left was against me the 2nd place team who had a higher goal differential than him. A match that I won with a man down for the final 64 minutes 1-0. Knocking him out of autopromote and into a qualifier this upcoming Sunday....he did the same to me 2 seasons ago, and I returned the favor ![]()

The Screamin' Seamen have finally escaped the Series of the Beast [tm]. Our reward is auto-promotion to Series III.4. The most entertaining part? That's the same series that GM-George's Cyclones is demoting into. I get to play against the man!

The MISFC beat the odds and managed to grab 6th place in III.5 in our first season in D.III. A good run near the middle of the season, and we held on at the end, winning our last match.
We play Pingchester United, a team that we have a lot of history with. They were a former IV.6er and we helped to send them packing back to D.V. Two seasons later and they are fighting for a chance to go to D.III! Even cooler is that they are supporters of the MISFC. We should grab the win, but are not taking any chances. KC Wizards are replacing Minutmen in my division. I am hoping that they go quietly in the night. We don't want to wake the sleeping giant. The other two teams that are coming into III.5 are also going to compete right away. They put up good numbers, so next year is going to be a fight to stay as well.

Lol, dacman. Sorry about the drubbing. I had shitty form and injured players all season, which led me to a 6th place finish. The last couple of games where I had good form and healthy players, I've been doing pretty well for myself. Good luck next season, dacman. |
