1 Year, 6 Days
That's how long my old coach, Donald Bynum lasted.
I made him a solid trainer and he had inadequate leadership abilities on 8/23/2004, then 1 year and 6 days later (8/29/2005) he dropped to weak leadership. Welcome to RTFC's NEW coach, Walter Mills. He is a former player, turned into SOLID trainer (also with inadequate leadership). This is the first time I've had a coach that is neither attack- nor defense-minded. I'm looking forward to seeing the difference, compared with all my previous coaches who were all attack-minded. ![]() /tk

Usually, it's best to do it right before the team spirit update so the new coach doesn't lower in leadership faster. Or do they only "wear out" after games?

I don't know, this system is so new in general (in terms of how often I've changed coaches) that I never know how it works.
I suppose making the switch right before the TS update makes sense, next time I have to do it (I'm guessing it'll be about a calendar year from now), I'll try to remember that if it comes near the end of the season. /tk

I don't know your Qualifiers but IMO it's better to do it just before your first US Cup match of the next season
