I am kind of excited because it will be the first game I get to watch live this year... Other than that, I just want everyone to stay healthy and that's about it.

Oh yeah, it would be nice to see the first team offense score a touchdown.

Same here, it was kind of freakish to see him god down, looking lifeless. And then to see one of his teammate kind of realize he wasn't all right...

If the Lions look this bad, fire Jauron and his pussy-ass bend-but-don't-break defense after game 1 or 2, and then if the Lions still look this bad, fire Marriucci and his no-imagination 3-yard-dump piece-of-shit offense after game 3.

I am so fucking annoyed. Preseason? Football is football.

While this is just pre-season, the Lions are not a very good football team.

What is the main problem with the Lions offense? They have a very talented core of WR's that as a group, have to be one of the best out there. They have an up and coming RB in Kevin Jones who I think will be a 1300 yard back for the next 7-8 years. Is Joey Harrington THAT bad that he can't win with all these parts around him? Is it the line?

One word: Marriucci.

Three words: West coast offense.

So will the black jerseys show up again? Knowing how superstitious atheletes are I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lions not wear them again.

Is the offense so overly complicated that the players are having trouble picking it up? The first 2 years of Andy Reid's campaign was like that here in Philly. Well that and the fact that guys like Torrance Small and Doug Peterson were in the offense. But now that its running on all cylinders, its a really nice offense. Not sure its the right one though if you have a brusing back like Jones. They might want to go with more of a mid-90's cowboys style offense, and throw alot of deep balls to the talented WR's.

From what I saw of the game, the Lions O-Line is a serious problem. If they can't stop a blitz when Harrington is just trying to dump the ball off in the flats, how the hell is the guy supposed to throw it downfield to his receivers on 5 or 7 step drop backs? Harrington will get killed out there this year if that is the best those big men up front can do.

I'm guessing Harrington getting killed out there is not bad news to some Lions fans.

Jones is actually pretty damned fast. Strong, but at least as fast as Stephen Jackson.

The problem is that Harrington is a bad QB and that Mooch refuses to be aggressive on occassion regardless of the fact that we have stud big-play recievers.

Harrington doesn't even have time to allow a deep pass to develop. The offensive line is giving him no time, even against a 4-man rush. It was pathetic.

On the other side of the ball, Bulger pretty much had all day. There was almost zero pressure.

This half of football has done nothing to convince me that the Lions will be any better than their 6-10 record last year.

If you watch it again, 90% of the pressure was coming from the outside. The guards did a good job, as did Raiola (except for the hold), but the tackles looked bad. I can forgive Butler, as he's playing in his 3 game ever in the NFL, but I can not excuse Backus and his stupid fat ass. He has always been over-rated. I was pissed when Millen drafted him in the first round, and I have never changed my mind. He is average. His ability is that of a career back-up. He's big with no agility and only average strength - Not a combo you want from your LT.

Missing Big Baby made big difference, but I agree for the most part.

I still think we are one of the top 2 teams in the North, but I'm starting to wonder.
