Business sim - Best replacement for Capitalism 2 is?
I have Capitalism 2, a business sim.
Is there a better business sim than Capitalism 2 that I can get? What is it? I liked Capitalism 2 but I've played it too many times and I'm looking for a replacement for it. Thanks. |

Someone told me that Capitalism Plus (the version before Capitalism 2) is the best of the series.
What about Locomotion? It's a bit more distribution based, but there is a strong business element to the game. |

Railroad Tycoon 3 is a decent enough game. Might not be business enough for you though. Wall street raider is another good game, but it might be too financial.
Honestly, since C2 came out, I don't think that I have played a really good business sim.

It's a good game, but not entirely a business sim. More of a wargame with business elements. Not for all tastes, so try a demo if the thought of wasting $20 or so means a lot to you. As for true business sims, give Capitalism Plus a try if you haven't already. I think it's the best of the Cap series. I haven't seen anything newer than those games that covers the same territory in as much depth or with as much fun as Cap Plus and Cap II. |

There hasn't been a general business game that I know of that tops Capitalism Plus. There have specific ones (like Railroad Tycoon, Roller Coaster Tycoon, etc.) that deal with just one or two industries. But nothing general like Capitalism Plus.

Are these still the best options in the business sim world?

No no....I just run the forum. My bad. He released a new edition of the game not too long ago. The game has flaws, but..it does a servicable job and obviously its only multiplayer if you're playing with a person in the same place most likely. But its fun enough.
