Actually, looking at that picture, it says FM2006 was released 4/11/2005?

The website is messing me up!

4/11/2005 is November 4th, 2005 across the pond.

Yep, there was a thread on this before, IIRC. Yes, there will be an XBox version .

Ok, so the 4/11 makes sense (I totally forgot about things across the pond).
I'm still intrigued by the 1950 release date for the XBox360 version.

Edit to add: The 1950 release date was what I was hoping people would notice, I know we've discussed that there will be an XBOX360 version before.

Am I the only person who remembers playing CM50 on my ENAC vaccum-tube machine?

Granted it took 7 weeks to sim a match, but it was worth it.

Heh - we'll fix the 1950 date at some point ... and no I'm not THAT old

Both Xbox and PSP releases are scheduled for spring of next year, after which we hope to bring them in line with our normal pre-xmas release dates for our games.

Simply put the first version you do on a system requires a little extra TLC and so we'd prefer to delay them until the spring to ensure they're up to the standards we set ourselves ...

A fair excuse, MV.
Though the 1950 did make me chuckle.

PS> The Xbox360 game is a port of the PC FM2006 game (ie. same game, just a different interface to it, customised for console controllers).

The PSP game is a brand new engine designed for the PSP game (ie. not a port) - its based mainly on stuff from our prior engines and is designed to be a more immediate 'pick up and play' game than the full PC version of FM - the type of thing you can play for 15 minute blasts or get through a season in a coupe of hours on ... if you've played CM01-02 then you should know the type of speed and feeling we're aiming at (ie. fast, fun but still realistic).

I still can't wait, MV.
Sounds like it'll be a good time. If I get a job, I'll get a new computer and then definitely FM2006 for the PC, too, but definitely looking forward to the PSP version.

Assuming you want the boxed and not downloadable version, I'm guessing it'll be cheaper to wait three weeks and buy it in a store than import it.
