Sab's NFL Pick'Em Game: Week 1

Here we go again.

The Rules

Scoring (Changed a few scoring rules)

You make final score predictions for 4 games per week. For each point you are off by, you receive 1 point. Like so

You make the prediction: Oakland 10, New England 21

Let's say the final score is: Oakland 7, New England 10

You are off by 3 for Oakland and 11 for NE so you get 14 points.

If you guess the wrong winner, you receive another 10 points. If you get one score right (say Oakland does get 10), you get a -5 bonus. If you get both scores right, you get -15.

For each week, the Monday Night Football game is required. You can predict on any other 3 games. Make sure you get your predictions in before the start of your ealiest games. Once kickoff happens, the game becomse off limits. No exceptions.

Standings

After each week, we add up the points from the 4 games.

The season standings will be based on total points. The lower, the better. If you miss a week, you are assigned the average point total multiplied by 1.5

The MNF game this week is Philly at Atlanta. Everyone must predict for this game. You can choose any 3 other games to predict. Just post your predictions in this thread.

Once we post, are they set in stone? Lets say I pick a team and find out Saturday that their QB and RB are out, can I edit the picks as long as it is before the game(s) started for the week?

Yes, as long as the last edit time stamp is before your earliest game. If something happens before the MNF or the late Sunday games after the ealry games have started, make a new post and I'll change it.

I haven't played this before, do I just submit my scores to you via PM and then you keep the yearly tally of scores?

Thanks for the catch Taz.

HERD, replace the PIT-TEN, CAR-NO or the SD-DAL game with a prediction for Atlanta vs. Philly. (Not NE-OAK since that game already started.). Do not edit your above post, however. Plase make a new post with your prediction and the game you are replacing. (PM'ed you in case you don't see this.)

I trust you so I don't think you would have changed your OAK-NE prediction, but in the future, if a game you predicted has already started, do not edit your post. Just make a new post with the change.

My bad. If you want to verify, you can look in the OAK/NE thread. I have the same prediction posted there as well.

God, I am horrendous. By my calculations, I have 64 pts going into tonights game. With 30 coming from the damn Rams game alone. I never learn my lesson, never go with the "for sure" winner of week 1, it never pans out.
