is this a bug in FOF for coach offer?

i am in the coach hiring stage.

the highest bid on ths offensive coor. is 5.3

so i bid on a offensive coor at 5.4 mil for 3 years to make me the highest offer. than i get message saying "your owner has set a limit of 3.9 mil for an offensive coor at this stage of the hiring process.

but if i bid at 5.2 mil it accepts the offer even though the message says the limit is 3.9 mil.

Are you bidding AFTER the stages are complete? Before the computer will pick one for you?

Does the offer switch to the maximum number just like it does for players?

I can only think that if you DO sign the coach, it will affect your owner's pleasure with your financial situation.

Take your offer off of Dehaven.

It changes as the stages progress, and if you have signed someone, but I didn't see you sign anyone. Did you up an offer an another coach?

Sorry for the threadjack but this is kinda on topic:

I do have some problems with the owner not letting you spend money sometimes anymore. In my current dynasty we are opening up a new stadium next season seating 15,000 more people in New York(along with the max amount of club seats and luxury boxes). We've sold out our stadium each game for the last 6 seasons and been posting a profit of 20+ million while making our stadium payment.

So the last season our QB, which is the highest rated QB in the league and also puts up the best numbers of all the QB's in the league b/c a free agent. I offered him a HUGE deal, huge signing bonus, huge salary b/c I don't just franchise those players, I make it rule I have to sign them. The owner was ok with the 40 million+ signing bonus and ok with everything else......except the salary in the 7th year, which would exceed his limit of 28 million dollars for any given year. Forget the fact this guy will most likely never see that 28 million dollars b/c he will most likely be re-negotiated or retired by then. I could see not wanting to pay the signing bonus, but the year 7 salary was kinda crazy. Needless to say this season we are opening up a brand new stadium with 15,000 more seats minus the leagues best player. Just not realistic.

yep lost out on the offensive coor. but got my head coach i wanted.

i know it changes per stage. but it strange to see a message saying you can only spend so much but your still able to bid more than what the msg says and it accepts the offer still for my example above.

I have had that happen with owners a lot. Try to still offer him the contract with the updated max amount per year. Sometimes the agent bits.

It doesn't make sense. Same for when a guy refuses to sign with you after you franchise him and don't make him an offer. You can offer 100 million in bonus money and he still wont grab at it. Just some of those things you have to live with in the game.

Bastard!

My owner wouldn't let me spend over a buffalo nickel for any staff. And because the game doesn't let you renegotiate with current coaches I had to let my O-Coord go who was really good.

i guess making a profit is key to have a higher spending budget for coaches.

at least if you are losing money for onlien league, you cant get fire like in solo play.
