Two movies, one good, one cheesy.

Ok, yesterday Loren and I, along with the kid, went to two movies. One was good, and was was chessy and could have been a lot better. I thought this would be the case going in, but I was wrong about which movie was which.

First we saw Corpse Bride. I wasn't real excited to see this, since I couldn't really stand Nightmare Before Christmas. But it was a pretty good movie. Had some laughs, although more chuckles then gut busters for sure. The story was pretty good though and didn't get too wacky like I expected.

The second movie was Flightplan, which I thought was going to be pretty good. It was ok, but had some real cheesy parts that I just couldn't look past. And I can usually look past stuff like that. They just blew it. The storyline was decent enough, but somewhere along the way it got screwed up. Not sure who the director was, I looked it up and the guy seems like a newb. If they had someone else maybe it would have turned out better. I wouldn't pay to see this movie if you had any thoughts about it....

I saw this Friday night. For the type of movie that it is, it is VERY formulaic. I normally don't try to 'figure out' movies while watching them, but this one was very obvious in just about every aspect.
