Now He Decides To Be Helpful?

So I'm playing NCAA 2006 yesterday. I'm Army, playing Baylor (2nd game of the season). I'm up 34-21 going into the 4th quarter when I have to stop and go do yardwork. I told my wife, "Don't turn off the X-Box", since I had been playing for an hour and didn't feel like playing the entire game again. I get in two hours later and my 14-year old says "Hey dad, look! I organized all the X-Box games!"

And he had. In the process, of course, he turned off my game. And of course, when I replayed the game I lost 28-21.

The boy won't pick up his socks without being asked three times and he suddenly decides to pick up and organize the X-Box stuff without being asked? Jeez.

Yeah, it's like the guy who wishes "to live forever" instead of "eternal youth". Or something like that...

That's what you should've said.

And this is why I'm playing Madden instead of NCAA right now - Madden lets me SAVE in the middle of a game if I've got something to do. And with 2 kids, interruptions are happening.

Did you kick him off playing the X-Box at some recent point in time?

This sounds like something I'd do to my dad when I was 12-14 or so if he made me mad. Do something that originally looks like I'm helping him, but do it in a way that will irritate him when he looks closer at it, and he'll have to do it over.
